Milan Music Week, in its eighth edition, ended last night; it was seven days full of events that set the pace in the city with concerts, DJ sets, interviews with artists, panels and workshops

Words SABRINA BOLZONI

There is an air of snow. It is cold, a cold that tastes like real winter. The kind we haven’t felt in a long time.

A long queue winds its way in front of the entrance to the Dazio Levante. For the occasion, the building is “dressed up” in style. Multicolored lights have given it a makeover: a new outfit that celebrates Milanese culture, deep, lived-in, and always open to music.

The final evening has only one protagonist on stage: Venerus.

An edgy atmosphere pervades the entire hall. It is almost magical. The anticipation is composed, but vibrant.

On the small stage, instruments rest, waiting for the musicians’ touch. They are ready to vibrate to perfection, to fill the air with emotion. The lights, on the other hand, are reminiscent of a fashion photo shoot at Superstudio. They are not just lighting, they are part of the show, ready to transform the space into an aesthetic and timeless stage.

And then he arrives.

His magnetic look. Visionary. Extravagant. He dominates the scene. It is not just an entrance: it is the beginning of a visual performance, as well as a musical one.

The notes begin to chase each other. His voice fills every corner of the room. It is immediately music, with a capital M.

Venerus does not just play. He fills the space around him, transforms it. His music vibrates, it spreads. Energy and emotion. Pure. Tangible.

“It doesn’t matter where you go, just look out. I wrote a song to give to our hearts […]” he sings. His voice soars, and with it the hearts of the audience. It is a flight. A journey lifted by the beat of sounds, deep, piercing.

His is a unique sonic language. It invites you into the hidden realm of imagination, into a magical space filled with perceptions and emotions that envelop you.

The audience sways to the rhythm of his notes. They are the real stars of Milan Music Week. With Venerus, however, they reach a higher level. It is sensory experience. It is magic.

A perfect harmony. The union of sounds, emotions and talent.

That wonder we call music!
