BURBERRY UNVEILS THE NEW FALL WINTER 2019 CAMPAIGN SHOT BY DANKO STEINER AND NICK KNIGHT
Seen on the catwalk last February, Burberry Fall Winter 2019 Collection was an hymn to all the rebel and structured sides of England and, above all, “the first chapter of Burberry’s new era”, as the creative director Riccardo Tisci said.
Now it’s time to disclose the fashion campaign that, as the very collection, wants to explore and pay an homage to the many facets of British culture, also aiming – of course – to make the house a synonym of identity and lifestyle inclusive to all.
Througout the lenses of Danko Steiner and Nick Knight, the campaign was set both in studio and by the sea, spreading romantic yet strong pictures in which “classic silhouettes of Burberry ladies and gentlemen end up being framed by water”, as Danko Steiner stated.
“The concept of water came directly from the theme of Burberry’s Tempest show – he continued – While the ocean is an enduring, beautiful backdrop for photography, we wanted the sea to play a larger part in the images – water is the source of change and discovery”.
The incredible cast sees legendary Burberry names – as those of Irina Shayk, Gigi Hadid, Sora Choi, Alexis Chaparro and Fran Summers – side by side to debutant ones like as Finn Rosseel, Shayna McNeill, Anna Ross, Kacie Hall, Heejung Park, Mammina Ake, Freja Beha just to name a few.
