Men’s short hot pants re-emerge from catwalks

The last Milanese catwalks have brought us back to the 1970s putting the lights on men’s short hot pants.
Inspired by sportswear, including tennis, football and surfing, many designers for SS19 collections have enjoyed desecrating a fashion myth that has always been more feminine: to show off the legs. Today also men are called to exhibit their legs in all their glory!
On the catwalks, they are pierced with tailored jackets and classic shirts. So the short-pants are considered not just a sexy item, but also a connotation of great style for the next summer.
Then we should ask ourselves which are the right occasions for a man to wear these eccentric summery outfits… Within professional or other official environments in fact, shorts have always been not recommended. But will it still be like this? It’s definitely risky, but we’ll see…
And, last but not least question: can everyone actually wear short hot pants?
