A collaboration with Juergen Teller and Adwoa Aboah

The collaboration between Burberry, historic and very British fashion brand, and Juergen Teller was announced last year in December. In addition to the German photographer and artist, the project involved also model and activist Adwoa Aboah and was strongly desired by the now former creative director Christopher Bailey. A duo that goes well beyond a mere advertising campaign and engages the brand on a deeper level of social, cultural and artistic commitment outside the fashion circuit.

The new photography portfolio that will slowly be released from Burberry’s rooms and spread across the social media, such as instagram, captures moments of life between Adwoa and her friends and relatives. The “cast” includes Oil Green, Jean Campbell, her sister Kesewa Aboah, visual artist, filmmaker and writer Jonah Freud, Riccardo Ambrosio and others, photographed in the surroundings of Manhattan’s Bowery. Naturally the campaign features the Burberry summer collection: t-shirts, trenches, car coats, decorated jackets, tulle dresses and lace with mohair. Comfortable and oversize clothes. This is the second portfolio published after the images shot by Juergen Teller and Adwoa on the Regent’s Canal in London. In a few months the third and last work be published, but the location is still unknown…
