Alessandro Dell’Acqua Honors 1960s Women’s Bold Creativity and Fluid Identity

Words DOMENICO COSTANTINI

The N° 21 Spring/Summer 2025 collection was deeply inspired by the cultural ferment and creativity of women in the 1960s, a decade characterized by innovative energy and a challenge to social norms. Alessandro Dell’Acqua drew inspiration from the photographs of Karlheinz Weinberger, who captured the essence of the grapes and their bold stylistic choices. These shots were not simple representations of fashion, but testimonies of a subculture that promoted individuality and experimentation, pushing young people to rebel against the conventions of previous generations.

N.21 SS25

Dell’Acqua did not simply replicate the styles of that period, but rather focused on the creative spirit of those women, highlighting their inventiveness and ability to mix and match fashion elements in surprising ways. This collection was an exploration of a “personal moodboard”, celebrating freedom of expression and self-affirmation. The idea of transformation emerged as a central theme, with garments reflecting the desire to explore multiple identities and different moods, embodying the versatility and complexity of modern life.
