From 4 to 12 December, the most eagerly awaited event of the year in Cortina will be reshaped: from Fashion Weekend to Week for a long festival inspired by the Greek Muses

In 2021, the “rebirth” of Cortina’s most glamorous event will feature a new graphic design inspired by the Greek Muses, protectors of the classical arts, who will accompany all the events that will animate the town. A modern and “fashion oriented” reworking of the classical arts: poetry, mime, history and tragedy will become cinema, lifestyle, fashion, music and cultural events, thanks to the Cortina for Us Association and the Municipality of Cortina, which have given this event, now in its eleventh edition, an absolutely new formula.

It will consist of “in a nutshell” events, distributed over the course of a week, including inaugurations, previews and shows. Along Corso Italia there will be Fashion Stations, real showcases for the sponsors of the event, together with light installations, projections with video screens and digital totems.

Supported by trailers and images and presented by the protagonists, the key events will be held, in terms of safety, within Angelo Dibona Square, specially redefined for the occasion as “Piazzetta Eventi”.

Cortina d’Ampezzo” – says Giampiero Ghedina, mayor of the town – “officially opens the winter season in the sign of beauty, ready to welcome its guests in the unmistakable combination of fashion and glamour of Cortina Fashion Week. This is a much-awaited event, in which the town council believes and invests in order to restart the many activities of excellence in our area, including sophisticated and exclusive novelties and the unfailing Ampezzo tradition”.

As part of the Cortina Fashion Week, Franz Kraler returns with new projects as a cutting-edge reference point for the Italian fashion scene and beyond.

In collaboration with Gucci, the opening of a boutique in the heart of Cortina D’Ampezzo

From its opening until mid-January, the store will be entirely dedicated to The North Face x Gucci collection. Featuring vibrant colours and prints, innovative fabrics and a unified logo, the second instalment of The North Face x Gucci collection celebrates the spirit of adventure in all its forms. Consistent with Gucci’s elegant and contemporary eclecticism, the boutique is a perfect combination of contrasting design elements, and for the occasion recreates the arctic world that inspired the collection. Cool lights are reflected on bright white surfaces. The space is bordered by mats that are soft to the touch and to the eye, reminiscent of expanses of fresh, pristine snow. On these lie mirrored mannequins and display stands whose irregular shapes recall small icebergs.

Valentino The Party Collection @ Franz Kraler

The joyful attitude of The Party Collection by Valentino explodes in a cheerful and stylish home party, rediscovering the desire to wear precious garments, where feathers are combined with lurex, tweed is profiled with silver ribbons and dresses are enriched with fruit and sequin embroidery. An eclectic mix that fits perfectly with Franz Kraler’s world, where tradition coexists with the most sophisticated solutions. An exercise in lightness that – in moving from the virtual to the real – is first and foremost a celebration of being together. A hymn to sharing, in which each guest will be welcomed by an exclusive setting designed specifically for the occasion, with a selection of cocktails and macaroons, to start living the magic of the holidays to the full.
