A breath of artistic freshness and vibrant live music have merged in a burst of creativity in Milan with the ‘Contaminazioni’ event, a series of masterfully curated art exhibitions by Sara Van Bussel and Manuela Nobile. This innovative format has temporarily taken over GERMI, the renowned cultural center and music stage in the heart of the city, founded by the famous band Afterhours. The first artist to explore this captivating format is Flaminia Veronesi, who presented a series of works and sculptures from her most intimate repertoire. Flaminia has contaminated the space with her new production, in an evocative dialogue with her early works dedicated to the world of play and the parallel dimensions it creates.
Since childhood, Flaminia has been fascinated by miniatures, creating entire worlds in tiny dimensions, often embedded in unusual objects like hair, furniture, or even animal backs. Her works range from small characters and miniature objects to entire imaginary scenarios, creating a microcosm that seems to pulsate with its own life. Her miniatures, along with the fantastic creatures and fiery dragons that populate the space, transform the environment into a new and intriguing world, rich with distant and contemporary stories.
