Fondazione Nicola Trussardi is once again bringing art to the streets of Milan with ‘ITALIA 70 – I NUOVI MOSTRI,’ featuring works by 70 artists. This project aligns with miart, Milan’s international art fair, and the city’s Art and Design Weeks

Building on the success of the foundation’s 2004 project, ‘I NUOVI MOSTRI (Life is Beautiful),’ this new endeavour is aimed to transform Milan into a dynamic canvas for contemporary art. Through a city-wide poster campaign, the project invites the public on a modern treasure hunt, showcasing diverse visions and identities of Italy in today’s urban landscape. Starting from April 8, 2024, and for the subsequent two weeks, Milan is set to be inundated with an explosion of urban art thanks to this collaborating project curated by Massimiliano Gioni, that will spread hundreds of posters created by young Italian artists throughout the streets of Milan, transforming them into a dynamic and irreverent artistic stage. Twenty years after that initial experiment, the Nicola Trussardi Foundation reintroduces this stimulating format, this time involving 70 Italian artists, both established and emerging. Each artist has been invited to create a new image or select a special work to reproduce on hundreds of posters, which will be distributed throughout the city. This ambitious project turns Milan into an open-air museum, engaging citizens in an artistic treasure hunt that spans from well-known locations such as the Monumental Cemetery and the Historic Center to less frequented areas like City Life and Porta Romana.
